Fioralba Vela is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economy, University of Vlora “Ismail Qemali”, Albania, with extensive expertise in business administration, public administration, tourism management, quality management, and organizational behavior. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tirana and a Master’s degree in Management, Economics and Law of Territorial Governance in the European Union from LIUC University and the University of Bari, Italy. Currently serving as Head of the Business Department and Coordinator of the SMART CITY HUB at the University of Vlora, she has also held leadership roles including Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economy. Dr. Vela is actively involved in international academic collaborations, European Union-funded projects, and quality assurance initiatives in higher education. Her research and professional contributions span smart cities, innovation management, public administration, and sustainable development, with numerous publications and presentations at international conferences worldwide.

Celestino Soddu is a renowned architect and senior academic, serving as Professor of Architectural Design at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He is the founder and former Director of the Generative Design Lab and a pioneer in the field of Generative Design and Generative Art. With decades of experience in architecture, urban design, and computational design, his research focuses on AI-driven generative processes, morphogenetic design, and complex systems in architecture. He is also the Chairman of the international Generative Art Conference and has contributed extensively to global research, teaching, and innovation in design technologies.

Chika Onyewuchi is a PhD researcher at the University of Reading, focusing on adapting the Social-Economic-Technical Systems (SETS) framework to improve planning for climate risks in energy infrastructure. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Ibadan and a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Sustainability and Technology from the University of Reading. Prior to commencing his doctoral research, Chika served as Executive Director at GVI Group, an energy infrastructure company, where he gained extensive industry experience in project development and delivery. His current research bridges academic theory and practical application, aiming to enhance the resilience of energy systems to climate-related threats. Chika is particularly interested in integrating systems thinking into infrastructure planning to address complex, interconnected risks. Through his work, he seeks to contribute to the development of more robust, adaptive energy systems capable of withstanding the evolving challenges posed by climate change.

Abbas Ali Ghezelsofloo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Islamic Azad University of Mashhad, Iran, where he has been a faculty member since August 2007. He earned his PhD in Civil Engineering (Water Resources and Hydraulics) from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where he also received his MSc in Civil Engineering, and obtained his BSc in Civil Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. His scholarly interests include numerical methods in water science, water resources engineering, dams and hydraulic structures, and water-related disaster management. His research also engages with water and environmental challenges in arid and semi-arid regions, including drought, river system adaptation, and sustainable water management. From 2014 to 2022, he founded and directed the Arid Environment Research Center in Iran, focusing on development-related issues in dryland environments and responses to hydrological and environmental stress.

Liviu Gabriel Baicu is a Romanian architect and urban planner with over 20 years of experience in architectural design, infrastructure development, and urban mobility projects. He is the CEO of GLB TRANSARK SRL and has been actively involved in multidisciplinary teams delivering complex civil and railway infrastructure works across Romania. In parallel with his professional practice, he is a doctoral researcher at the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism (UAUIM) in Bucharest, where his work focuses on the role of railway stations as catalysts for polycentric metropolitan development. His research integrates architecture, urbanism, mobility, and emerging methodologies such as biometric analysis and spatial data evaluation. Liviu Baicu combines practical expertise with academic inquiry, contributing to both large-scale infrastructure projects and contemporary research on the transformation of transport hubs into sustainable, human-centered urban nodes.
